YOU ALREADY KNOW THIS DEEP DOWN

Those tantrums may seem totally random — but there’s more to it

  • Dragging their feet before school or daycare
  • Putting off homework for 5 more minutes of Peppa Pig
  • Crying their eyes out when you give them the wrong snack
  • Acting out because you chose the wrong toy for bath time
  • Having a meltdown every time you’re grocery shopping or eating out somewhere nice

You thought the most challenging part of parenting would be that talk about the birds and the bees.

But somehow, you’re stuck in this loop where you alternate between Googling “how to discipline a child” and “calming strategies for kids.”

You’ve read the books. Been on Youtube for hours. Found comfort in other parents’ posts on Reddit.

But you can’t put your finger on what’s causing all that anger and attitude.

You love your child so much —how is parenting this hard?

CAN WE TELL YOU A SECRET?

You’re on the right track

You’re not overthinking your child’s recent outbursts. You’re a concerned and loving parent who’s motivated to create a positive environment where they can thrive.

Let no one tell you otherwise.

Not well-meaning friends and family. Not even your child’s pediatrician — sometimes even specialists miss the cues that are obvious to parents.

Kids, like adults, experience a range of emotions while going through life.

But they’re not self-aware enough to connect those dots and express how they really feel about their challenges, preferences, and experiences.

So the fact that they’re acting out? It’s a clue that something is not going well and can motivate us to take action and make changes.

INTRODUCING

meltdown-mastery-group-program

An 8-week course based on positive parenting techniques designed to help you identify the root causes of your child’s behavior — meltdowns, sibling rivalry, roughhousing, or something else — and create long-term change.

If you’re so over fluffy and out-of-touch advice, hurtful labels, and guilt-tripping — welcome; this is a safe space. You will never be judged or criticized, and we will meet you where you are.

You’ll learn along with other parents looking for realistic solutions, empathy, and accountability on their journey.

The fine print: This is an online parenting class  — not group therapy or medical advice.

But it’s a great place to start if you want to create a more empowered and informed path for your family’s well-being.

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN EACH WEEK

Meltdown Mastery is designed to help thorough and involved parents like you explore every possible reason behind those tantrums and transform the behavior with empathy so your child can live their life to the fullest.

You’ll learn the most common and uncommon causes of anger and frustration in children, create a proactive safety plan for emergencies, get on the same page with other caregivers (like grandparents, teachers, babysitters, etc.), and learn how to manage your own emotions so you can model them for your kids.

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR

Your child is not being bratty on purpose–you can feel it in your bones that something isn’t right. Their tantrums aren’t about instant gratification, either. Ask me how I know!

Hey, I’m Kristin — a licensed mental health counselor (aka child therapist), mom to a special-needs kid, and a former sad, angry kid.

My personal experiences and professional interactions have opened my eyes to how unique each child’s journey is and why empathy — not judgment or discipline — is the key to transformation.

I bet you’ve tried everything, and it’s like nothing works. Sometimes you feel invalidated even by specialists who should be helping you and not telling you that you’re reading too much into your child’s behavior. You’re not. You know your child best.

My kid probably has a lot of similarities to yours: He has some really challenging behaviors that push my buttons in ways I didn’t know existed. I, too, had to learn to follow my gut, even if his providers didn’t agree. Turns out my instincts were right, and I bet yours might be, too.

Here we believe in a “no stones left unturned” approach. My goal is to equip you with comprehensive knowledge based on positive parenting techniques so you’re prepared to de-escalate any situation, anywhere — now and in the future. Without losing your cool.

So if you’re ready to start creating lasting change with the support of a fun, knowledgeable therapist and parent who empathizes with you but also gives it to you straight, you’re in the right place.

Meltdown Mastery is perfect for you if…

  • You’re an observant parent who is committed to digging deeper and exploring every possibility to uncover the real reasons behind those tantrums and meltdowns.

  • You realize that parenting is a journey, and you want to be equipped with the best calming strategies and resources to create a positive and nurturing environment for your child.

  • You’ve been waitlisted for therapy, and you’re looking for clarity to start creating some positive changes at home in the meantime

  • You’re already working with a child therapist and want to learn more about the topic so you can ask the right questions in your sessions and elevate the level of care your child is getting.

  • You’re craving the support and accountability of other parents who have also tried everything out there —it’s a lot to go through alone.

  • You can dedicate 90 mins per week, and you’re committed to staying the course and trusting the process.

FAQs

1.When will the calls be held?

We’ll meet every Monday from 8:00 pm-9:30 pm EST for eight weeks.

2. Can I reach you if I need more support after the sessions?

Yes, absolutely. We have scheduled office hours by appointment every week on Thursday nights from 8:00 pm-9:00 pm EST.

While the live sessions are for learning, the rest of the week is for implementation. And we get that you may have questions during the process — so let us know if you want to stop in.

3. Can both parents join the calls?

Absolutely — it’s easier if both parents can join live so you can be on the same page and start making meaningful decisions without delays. But we get it; sometimes, the other parent needs to be “on duty.”

4.What happens if I can’t make it to the call live?

You’ll have access to the session recordings if you can’t make it live or want to rewatch it.

5. What are the main differences between this course and 1:1 therapy?

Please note: Each option has its pros and cons. For example, what we share in Meltdown Mastery is not medical advice or 1:1 therapy, nor is it a substitute for therapy — it’s for educational purposes only.

However, the course can supplement your knowledge if you’re tackling meltdowns with your child’s therapist.

6. Do you have a payment plan?

Payment plans are available, and we can discuss the specifics over our free consult.

7. How long do I have access to the course content?

You have lifetime access to session recordings of your cohort, so you can go back at any time and do a quick recap whenever you need it.
